We visited the Arizona Game & Fish run refuge like we were rookies, going midday, figuring on seeing some birds for awhile and move on. The written advice is come at sunrise and sunset. But we were pleasantly surprised. There were thousands of birds in the ponds, and then like magic more flocks came out of the south and flew overhead, then landed in the pond. Magnificent creatures. We had an amazing time seeing these birds.
A great place to visit not far from Tombstone, Bisbee, and Sierra Vista. You can even RV camp there for free for 3 days.
